Puri Virtual Yatra
A smart virtual guide for the Puri Rath Yatra: pilgrims pick a service and are guided to the nearest facility through a 360 degree street view.
Highlights
What it does
- Service picker: toilet, first aid, ambulance, bedded hospital, parking and police
- 360 degree street-view guidance with on-screen turn labels
- Distance to the nearest facility and step-by-step progress
- Mini-map and a Scan, Navigate, Reach flow
Challenge
The problem
Rath Yatra crowds are dense and unfamiliar. Pilgrims need to find help, parking and facilities quickly, and without installing an app.
Solution
What we built
A browser-based guide opens on a service picker. Choosing a service shows the nearest location, then walks the visitor there in a 360 degree street view with directional labels and a mini-map.
Results
Outcome
- Six essential services on one picker screen
- Guidance shown as distance and step count, for example 505 m, step 1 of 2
- Works from a link, with no app install
